O mais fácil é de metrô descendo na estação General Osório bem em frente a feira, também têm várias linha de ônibus que param na praça.

Distante 42km de Copacabana via Barra da Tijuca, pegando a Estrada dos Bandeirantes até  chegar na Estrada Mucuiba onde o bairro está abraçado ao Parque Estadual da Pedra Branca, uma reserva de 12.500 hectares com exuberante fauna e flora da Mata Atlântica.

2. O QUE FAZER:
Pode fazer trilhas pelo parque, se não conhece bem a área, estacione o carro no final da Estrada Mucuiba, dali pode fazer uma trilha leve até a cachoeira, também têm  passeios a cavalo com instrutor, nesta região que têm o Haras Baruca, Estrada Mucuiba, 500, bacana para adultos e crianças.

3. O QUE VER:
Na Estrada Mucuiba têm a pequena capela Nossa Senhora da Conceição, e acessando pela Estrada dos Bandeirantes onde têm uma pequena colina, mas já em Vargem Pequena fica a histórica Capela de Nossa Senhora de Montserrat construída em 1732 que abriga desde 1880 a imagem desta santa que estava em uma capela   vizinha que foi destruída por um vendaval.

O bairro têm tradição de gastronomia impecável para todos os gostos e bolsos, com vários restaurantes já funcionando e seguindo as regras impostas pelo "novo normal", em belas áreas abertas cercadas de muiito verde, tudo perfeito para a época que estamos vivendo, se for louco por camarão, mas com outros pratos no cardápio, o destino certo é o bar TÔ NA BOA, preferido dos moradores, que dizem não existir pastel e risoto de camarão melhores que os que são servidos pela Gisele neta da Dona Astrogilda, famosa parteira e matriarca da Comunidade Quilombola que leva o seu nome e está ali há mais de 200 anos,  num ambiente simples mas acolhedor com mesas montadas encima de terra batida; e se gostar de feijoada vá para a CASA DA FEIJOADA 1910, Estrada Mucuiba,  919, que só abre aos domingos e também pode levar seu bichinho de estimação; e para os apaixonados por carne o DOM PASCUAL, misto de pousada e restaurante, Estrada do Sacarrão, 867, o proprietário uruguaio serve costela gaúcha acompanhada de arroz carreteiro; já para os  amantes de comida orgânica e italiana o bistrô CASA TRÊS, Estrada do Sacarrão, 867 é a pedida.

Continuing our endless pandemic, we keep travelling inside our nature surroundings only, going  to the bucolic quarter of Vargem Grande in the Rio de Janeiro west side that looks like a countryside city.

1. HOW TO ARRIVE:
42km far from Copacabana via Barra da Tijuca quarter, taking the Estrada dos Bandeirantes road arriving on the Estrada Mucuiba road, where Vargem Grande is attached with the Pedra Branca State Park, a 12.500 hectares reserve with an Atlântic Forest magnificent flora and fauna.

2. WHAT TO DO:
Walk on the park trails, but if you don't know the area well parking the car on the end of the Estrada Mucuiba road, walking up to the waterfall, there is also guide for horse rides in this region that houses the Baruca Studs perfect for adults an kids. 

3. WHAT TO SEE:
On the Estrada Mucuiba road there is the Our Lady of Conceição little chapel, and accessing by the Estrada do Bandeirantes road already in Vargem Pequena there is a small hill housing the beautiful Our Lady of Montserrat Church built in 1732, but since  1880 keeps this saint image that was in a neighbor church destroyed by a gale.

4. WHERE TO EAT:
This neighborhood houses many restaurants in an opened green area serving a spotless gastronomy for all tastes and budgets, if you're crazy for shrimps go to the TÔ NA BOA bar that the locals saying there are the best "pastel" and "risoto" shrimp dishes prepared by Gisele, the granddaughter of the Dona Astrogilda the Quilombola Community founder, it is a simple cosy place with the tables over a non-paved ground; if you like "feijoada" go to the CASA DA FEIJOADA 1910, open on Sundays only; and for the meat lovers the Don Pascual a mix of bed and breakfast and restaurant serves "gaúcha ribs" sided with "carreteiro" rice; and for the vegan and Italian food fans the CASA TRÊS bistrô is the right destination.

Uma das tantas atrações imperdíveis no parque é a árvore nativa da Mata Atlåntica "pau mulato", que em meados de agosto o tronco adquire uma cor bronze formando um belo cenário, também o caminho das "Palmeiras Imperiais", o Bromeliário, o lago com Vitória-Regia, o corredor da bela flor Esponja-de-Ouro, e não deixe de circular pelo encantador Jardim Japonês, criado em 1935, repleto de bonsais, cerejeiras, e um belo lago com carpas e pedras simbolizando a longevidade.

1. HOW TO ARRIVE:
Located next to the Gávea's quarter and the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon should be accessed by bus, subway, byke or car with a paid public parking around the Santos Dumont Square, remind that the Botanical Garden was opened last July, 9th, 2020, and because we still inside of a pandemic, the admittance is by previous appointment only, and must following all the Brazilian government requires for the "new normal".

The "Pau Mulato" an Atlântic Forest native tree that on the middle of August the tree trunk gets a bronze color making a beautiful scenery, also the Imperial Palm Trees path, the Bromeliad Greenhouse, the Victoria Regia lake, the beautiful corridor of the esponja-de-ouro  (gold esponje) flowers, and don't miss strolling by the enchanted Japonese Garden full of bonsai, cherry trees, and a gorgeous lake plenty of carp fishes, and stones symbolizing the longevity.

Inside of the Botanical Garden has a very good Restaurant and Cafe serving delicious meals on open air tables, also around the Santos Dumont Square has good restaurants already opened.

Nogueira é mais um dos lindos bairros de Petrópolis na região serrana do Rio de Janeiro, distante 85km, é um destino perfeito para um bate e volta respirando o ar puro das montanhas se sentindo num lugarzinho do interior.

O bom é contratar um guia local, mesmo se estiver de carro, para as muitas trilhas dentro desta imensa Serra do Roncador, o Jean (65 992843781) é um ótimo guia e conhece muito bem a região, ele vai te levar em inacreditáveis lugares e muitos mirantes, nesta serra que está distante 60km de Barra do Garças, passa pelo Vale dos Sonhos até o indescritível portal de entrada com as imponentes rochas Dedo de Deus e o Guardiäo, ele também vai te levar para a pequena cidade de Baliza em Goiás com intermináveis campos de plantação de soja e límpidas  cachoeiras como a Paraguassú de 94 metros de queda e com um arco-íris baixinho para emoldurar suas fotos, e na Cachoeira Paraiso que o nome  dispensa comentários nesta região de  natureza impecável para todos os lados.

4. ONDE COMER:
Em Barra do Garças entre vários barzinhos movimentados como o Caribe, têm o Pretinhos Bar, Av. Salomé José Rodrigues, 81, simples  com varanda, servindo deliciosa comida e petiscos, com música ao vivo.

5. AS HISTÓRIAS:
Ou podem ser lendas, mas são fascinantes, tanto a do Coronel inglês Percy Fawcet, que dizem inspirou Spielberg para a criação do Indiana Jones, quando em 1925 em busca da cidade perdida, junto com o filho e um amigo desapareceu sem deixar rastros, ou a da Pedra cheia de símbolos que está numa praça em Barra do Garças, onde embaixo foram enterradas garrafas cheias de diamantes, pois só o ouro tinha valor no local, mas um dia às garrafas foram levadas pela cheia do rio, e foi a riqueza desta história que se espalhou, e trouxe muitos exploradores para esta região.

5. A HISTÓRIA DO RODEO:
Em um sábado de 1947 na quermesse realizada pela Prefeitura Municipal da cidade aconteceu o 1o. rodeio do país, e em 1955 nasceu numa mesa de bar "Os Independentes" formado por um grupo de jovens solteiros, que organizaram a primeira Festa do Peão de Boiadeiros de Barretos, que acredito que eles jamais imaginariam a grandiosidade que o evento se tornaria, pois além dos rodeios apresenta shows dos melhores cantores sertanejos do Brasil e de outros países.

The city of Barretos is 425km far from the São Paulo's capital, where happens the biggest rodeo party showing lots of national and international country music singers, the American Garth Brooks, and the Canadian Shania Twain singed already there, housing 122.000 habitants but getting 1 million tourists in the "Peão de Boiadeiro Party".
Take a note of these tips, wear a cowboy outfit and have fun with your favorite country music singers:

1. HOW TO ARRIVE:
The Barretos airport don't get scheduled flights, but São José do Rio Preto, SP, 96km far from Barretos is the nearest airport, or by car with good roads on its access.

2. WHERE TO STAY:
The nice Barretos Hotel with breakfast and parking lot included has a good rate, but only out of the event considered the city's high season.

3. WHAT TO DO:
Strolling by the Lakes Region Park, 2km far from downtown, housing 3 lakes, the night is perfect for hangout in the crowded little bars.

4. WHAT TO EAT:
The restaurant Bocada's located behind the hotel serving delicious appetizers is simple and cheap; for the Japanese food lovers the Lámen restaurant is a good option, and for the meat fans the Chimarrão Barbecue is in front of the hotel.

5. THE RODEO STORY:
On a Saturday in 1947 the City Hall made the country first rodeo, and in 1955 on a bar's table a young and single group called "Os Independentes" organized the first Peão de Barretos Party, which I believe that they didn't have idea about the success of the coming events, besides the rodeos the famous national and international  countryside singers shows attracts lots of tourists from all around the world.
