Circule pelo deck (boardwalk), e pelas 2 avenidas, a Atlantic Ave. e a Pacific Ave., que são as principais e paralelas. Entre nos maravilhosos cassinos Ballys, Ceasars, AC Hilton, Wild Wild West e Borgata considerado o melhor e também o recém inaugurado Hard Rock Casino. Se informe sobre o show de águas WATER SHOW que costuma acontecer no centro à  cada hora. Vá visitar o ATLANTIC CITY AQUARIUM, 800N Av. New Hampshire, 5 minutos distante do deck, com muitas atrações marinhas, também pode assistir alimentação de animais como arraias. Aberto das 10h às 17h. Já o museu RIPLEY'S BELIEVE IT OR NOT, claro que só entrando para acreditar ou não. Aberto das 11h às 19h.

Em 1933 casou-se com o jornalista PAULO RAPAPORT, ficando viúva aos 40 anos, nunca mais casando, não teve filhos.

3. A CASA:
A CASA MUSEU EVA KLABIN, Av. Epitácio Pessoa, 2480, Lagoa, iniciou a construção em 1930 e foi moradia até sua morte, que após ficar viúva costumava dar festas à amigos e pessoas importantes, passaram por lá nomes como o nosso ex-presidente JUSCELINO KUBITSCHECK, o político israelense Nobel da Paz SHIMON PERES, e os poderosos americanos DAVID ROCKFELLER e HENRY KISSINGER. Sem herdeiros ela deixou a casa como "bem público", virando FUNDAÇÃO em 1990, e CASA MUSEU em 2017, sendo a única casa museu no Rio de Janeiro que nunca teve reformas e se manteve exatamente como a proprietária a deixou.

4. LEGADO DE ARTES:
Ela acumulou um acervo de 2000 peças, que começou aos 17 anos quando comprou 2 gravuras do pintor holandês GLAUBER, lá você vai achar um retábulo de igreja do século XIV, pinturas de TINTORETTO a única da América Latina, DONATELLO, BOTICELLI, PISSARO, gravuras de REMBRANDT, na sala inglesa obras do século XVII, estatuetas de terracota do período helenístico séculos IV a.c. a I d.c., e muitas outras raridades fazem parte desta fabulosa coleção. A casa também programa de exposições que a cada ano traz obra de diferentes artistas contemporâneos.

In 1933 married the journalist PAULO RAPAPORT, widowed at 40, no children, and never married again.

3. THE HOUSE:
The EVA KLABIN HOUSE MUSEUM, 2480, Epitácio Pessoa Ave., Lagoa, began to be built in 1930, and she lived there until passed away, where she used to have dinners and parties for friends and important people, as the former president of Brazil JUSCELINO KUBITSCHECK, Israeli politician Peace Nobel Prize SHIMON PERES, and the powerful americans DAVID ROCKFELLER and HENRY KISSINGER. Without heirs she left the house as a"public good",  becoming FOUNDATION in 1990 and HOUSE MUSEUM in 2017, which is the only house museum in Rio de Janeiro that never was renovated and is exactly how the owner left it.

4. LEGACY OF ARTS:
She accumulated a collection of 2000 pieces, beginning at age 17 when she bought 2 engravings from the Dutch painter GLAUBER, and there also you wil find a church altarpiece from the 14th century, paintings of TINTORETTO the only in Latin America, DONATELLO, BOTICELLI, PISSARO, engravings of REMBRANDT, in the English room arts of the 17th century, Terracota figurines from the Hellenistic period 4 b.c. and 1 a.c., and other rarities be part of this fabulous collections. The house also brings early different art exhibitions from Contemporary artists.

1. HOW TO ARRIVE:
By plane arriving in the Salta Martin Miguel de Güemes Internacional Airport, distant 7km from city's downtown. By car or be part of an expedition, which "Azimut Expeditions" does this route very well in 4×4 vehicles.

2. WHERE TO STAY:
GRAN HOTEL PRESIDENT, 353, Belgrano Ave. Well located in downtown, housing a nice restaurant. Complimentary breakfast and free parking lot.

3. WHAT TO DO:
Strolling along the "Plaza 9 de Julho" square where is the Salta Cathedral, built in 1858, which every year on September 15th welcomes thousands of faithful to the "Virgem do Milagre Saint" thanking her the attribution of the miracle to stop the earthquakes there since 1692. A little far you'll find the first building built in 1625 housing the "Basìlica Convento São Francisco" church. There are also archaeology museums.

4. WHERE TO EAT:
Around the square take a seat in one of the many bars and restaurants on sidewalk tables, feeling like you are in a bucolic city, and don't miss to try the delicious "empanadas salteñas" or only ask for a local beer "Quilmes". For the "gamble lovers" also there are casinos.

4. WHAT TO SEE AT ITS SURROUNDINGS:
From Salta drive 123km by the Ruta 9 road, watching lots of friendly "llamas" (local animal of this region), to arrive in the San Salvador de Jujuy Province. Driving 139km to the desert city of Salinas Grandes, where the 12.000 hectares of salt forming an infinite white ground, and is considered the third biggest "salar" in the world. And for the wine admirers go to Cafayete distant 189km from Salta, and find the highest and most beautiful vineyards of South America, and there visit the Memory of the Wine Museum telling the history of this precious drink. Another beautiful desert city is  Purmamarca at the foot of the famous Cerro de los Siete Colores, an amazing 7 colors mountain, also this city is famous because of its beautiful local crafts.

1. ONDE FICAR:

Caminhe pelas áreas verdes do PARKÃO, vá até à Av. Independência com muitas lojas bacanas. Já entre os bairros BOM FIM e CIDADE BAIXA não deixe de passear no PARQUE DA REDENÇÃO, com o Auditório Araújo Viana, muitos recantos e lagos, aos sábados prove as delícias da feira de produtos regionais se misturando à gauchada  que circula com o seu inseparável chimarrão, aos domingos têm a "Feira de Antiguidades"   o BRIQUE, com muitos artigos interessantes para ver e comprar. Caminhe pela recém inaugurada nova orla do Guaíba, e quem for para lá em setembro à partir do dia 7 têm a SEMANA FARROUPILHA no Parque Harmonia, com muita comida e danças típicas.

3. O QUE VER:
Na continuação da Av. Independência está a Rua dos Andradas, conhecida como RUA DA PRAIA que não têm praia, mas no número 736 têm o majestoso prédio rosa do Hotel Majestic que abriga a CASA DE CULTURA MÁRIO QUINTANA, uma verdadeira colméia de 7 andares e 2 alas com todas as exposições de artes gratuitas, e que foi morada entre 1968 e 1980 do meu poeta maior MARIO QUINTANA (1906-1994), que entre tantas belezas escreveu: "Amizade é um amor que nunca morre", e lá têm a réplica do seu quarto, com a máquina, bengala, e cachecol, e na parede a paixão das suas musas, Cecilia Meireles, Greta Garbo e Bruna Lombardi. Um pouco antes na Praça da Alfândega, o SANTANDER CULTURAL que além das exposições renomadas, só a arquitetura deste prédio que no passado foi o Banco Nacional do Comércio e hoje seus antigos cofres abrigam elegantes restaurante e bar, e no átrio a estrutura de vidro e metal de 600 metros quadrados que deixa passar a luz iluminando o magnifico vitral do teto, já vale a visita. E nesta mesma praça que florescem os lindos jacarandás também desde 1955 florescem novas idéias na imperdível FEIRA DO LIVRO DE PORTO ALEGRE que acontecerá de 1o. à 18/11/2018. Na beira do rio aviste a famosa chaminé subindo aos céus da USINA DO GASÔMETRO, projeto inglês de 1927 para uma termoelétrica, com muitas atividades culturais, o teatro Elis Regina, e não deixe de ir ao 4o. andar para as  exposições e uma vista privilegiada do rio e da cidade. Em seu pleno coração junto à praça está a CATEDRAL, o PALÁCIO DO GOVERNO e ASSEMBLÉIA, e também o recém inaugurado MULTIPALCO THEATRO SÃO PEDRO, ousada expansão do lendário teatro, num espaço de 15 mil metros quadrados com concha acústica para espetáculos populares. O motor desta obra chamou-se Eva Sopher (1923-2018) que dedicou sua vida a este teatro. Do outro lado da cidade vá até o mais lindo pôr-do-sol do Rio Guaíba onde está a delicada nave de 5 andares encravada em um morro toda em cimento branco abrigando o maravilhoso museu IBERÊ CAMARGO (1914-1994) com um acervo que soma 4000 obras deste pintor.

4. ONDE COMPRAR:
No belíssimo SHOPPING IGUATEMI com a recém inaugurada parte ampliada que abriga muitas lojas de marca, cinemas e excelente praça de alimentação.

5. ONDE COMER:
MERCADO MUNICIPAL, no centro este antigo e tradicional mercado vende de tudo à granel nas suas bancas, com ótimos restaurantes, e a imperdível BANCA 40 para comer rezando a deliciosa "salada de fruta com nata'. Já na CASA DE CULTURA MÁRIO QUINTANA o restaurante SANTO DE CASA é outro local perfeito para mais um pôr-do-sol, que segundo os gaúchos é o "mais lindo do mundo", quem for até lá que tire a sua conclusão. Um ótimo self-service é o PRATO VERDE, Rua Santa Terezinha, 42 lateral ao Parque da Redenção, como as sobremesas estão incluídas, por favor, não saia de lá sem comer o divino "sagú ao vinho". Para um ótimo café com os melhores doces também ali pertinho  está a MAOMÉ, José Bonifácio, 655. E para o melhor churrasco, lógico, o BARRANCO, Protásio Alves, 1578, serve carne da melhor qualidade sem ser rodízio, com ótimos acompanhamentos num lugar lindo. Ufa! E para badalar à noite a RUA PADRE CHAGAS é simplesmente perfeita.

For many people whose visiting the "Serra  Gaúcha" countryside mountains of the Riio Grande do Sul state in the deepest south of Brazil, specially the famous Gramado city, only seen the Salgado Filho Airport and its huge statue "O Laçador" a gaucho welcoming the tourists, but in your next trip to the South include the capital PORTO ALEGRE in your tour.
Take these tips to enjoy this cultural city, with excellent gastronomy and unmissable attractions:

1. WHERE TO STAY:
IBIS HOTEL, 540 Marquês do Herval St. Very well located in the good Moinhos de Vento neighborhood, near to the beautiful "Parkão" park, and also to the Padre Chagas St, the best for hang outs. The excellent breakfast and parking lot are not included.

2. WHAT TO DO:
Strolling by the green areas of PARKÃO, and go up to the Independência Ave., full of nice stores.  Between the BOM FIM and CIDADE BAIXA neighborhhiids walk through the REDENÇÃO PARK, with the Araújo Viana Auditorium, many lakes and wooded spots, on Saturdays try the region's delicious products sold in a fair, and on Sundays a "Vintage Fair" (BRIQUE) has lots of interesting items to see and buy. Walk on the just opened Guaíba River harbour, and if you stay in the city in September, on the 7th begins the SEMANA FARROUPILHA, in the Harmonia Park, a week celebrating a regional holiday full of typical food and dances.

3. WHAT TO SEE:
On the Independência Ave. going to the downtown's direction is the Rua dos Andradas St, known as RUA DA PRAIA,  a beachless Beach St, but at number 736 is the MARIO QUINTANA CULTURAL CENTER, an amazing museum on 7 floors and 2 wings of the former Majestic Hotel pink building, buzzes with art all day long with free admittance, where my favorite poet Mario Quintana (1906-1994), lived from 1968 to 1980, and a replica of his room is there, with his typewriter, cane, scarf and on the wall his muses Cecilia Meirelles, Greta Garbo and Bruna Lombardi. A little farther along the Praça da  Alfândega square is SANTANDER CULTURAL where besides renowned exhibitions, the building architecture which on the past was the Nacional do Comércio Bank, now houses an elegant restaurant and bar on its former safes, and the 600-square-meter glass and metal atrium providing a view of the stained glass ceiling, worth a visit. In that same square where flowering gorgeous ipê trees, also flowering new ideas since 1955 in the amazing PORTO ALEGRE BOOK FAIR, starting from November 1st to 18th, 2018. On the riverside catch sight of a famous chimney of the USINA DO GASÔMETRO gasworkers going up to the skies, another cultural space, with many activities, the Elis Regina theater, and an exhibition hall on the 4th floor overlooking the river and the city is a must in this place built by the English in 1927 as a thermoeletric plant. In the heart of downtown together with the CATHEDRAL, the GOVERNOR'S PALACE and the LEGISLATURE the just opening SÃO PEDRO MULTISTAGE THEATER, expanding the legendary theater to a 15.000 square-meter area with an acoustical shell for concerts and shows. The driving force  was Eva Sopher (1923-2018), who dedicated years of her life to the project. Go to a beautiful sunset in the  another side of the Guaíba's river to find the IBERÊ CAMARGO (1914-994) Museum, a white five-story vessel nestled on a hillside housing nearly of 4.000 artistic's work of this painter.

4. WHERE TO BUY:
In the gorgeous SHOPPING IGUATEMI a new expansion just opening with lots of good stores, cinemas and excellent food court.

5. WHERE TO EAT:
The MUNICIPAL MARKET this old and tradicional market located in the downtown's city, sells everything in its stands, with good restaurants, and don't miss to ask for the delicious fruit salada with "nata" a kind of  cream in the BANCA 40 stand. In the MARIO QUINTANA CULTURAL CENTER the SANTO DE CASA restaurant is another perfect place to see one more stunning sunset. The good PRATO VERDE, 42, Santa Terezinha St, close to the Redenção park, serving self-service, try there the "sagu ao vinho" a dessert that use to be a compliment in this place. For a good coffee with delicious cakes, close there is MAOMÉ, 655 José Bonifácio. For a good barbecue go to  BARRANCO, 1578, Protásio Alves St, serving the best meat from the menu in a beautiful place. For the nights hang outs the PADRE CHAGAS ST. is simply perfect.
