Ilha de O'ahu! Aloha Havaí! (Island of O'ahu! Aloha Hawaii!).

Honolulu com 338.000 habitantes, é a capital  do Havaí, Estados Unidos, com temperaturas variando de 18ºC à 28ºC entre novembro e março, e neste  momento é destino perfeito para fugir do frio gélido do inverno da América do Norte. Localizada na ilha de O'ahu, fundada em 1845, com forte legado dos polinésios, este paraíso é o sonho de consumo de qualquer surfista, pois foi em Waikiki outra região de O'ahu que cresceu o havaiano Duke Paoa  Kahanamoku (1890-1968), conhecido como "O Pai do Surf Internacional", como nadador olímpico ganhou sua primeira medalha de ouro em Estocolmo, Suécia em 1912, e hoje têm seu monumento na praia de Kuhio Beach, Waikiki.

1. COMO CHEGAR:
A melhor maneira é vôo direto de Los Angeles, E.U., pois você já vai estar no lado Pacifico. Às 6 horas dentro do avião e o fuso horário de menos 2 horas, logo serão esquecidas ao desembarcar no Aeroporto de Honolulu e ser recebido com a calorosa  saudação havaiana ALOHA!  E se ninguém lhe colocar o "leis" famoso colar de flores havaiano, por favor compre um, pois ser alegre e colorido é tradição nesta ilha. Também no aeroporto vale à pena alugar carro.

2. ONDE FICAR:
Com uma oferta infinita de hotéis, procure ficar na orla da Ala Moana Boulevard, próximo de tudo, para acordar com o visual da praia de Ala Moana.

Se você não fizer nada nesta ilha, você já fez alguma coisa! Num lugar que pela manhã você já vai ver muitas noivas prontas para dar o sim, pois por lá, acredite,  você pode até casar em um submarino, mas se ainda não estiver pronto para jurar votos à  4.267m de profundidade, a ATLANTIS ADVENTURES faz passeios para você conhecer à vida marinha nos penhascos de corais abaixo da superficie do Pacifico. o ARIZONA MEMORIAL,  único Monumento Nacional de lá, que é um tributo ao ataque japonês de 7/12/41, na frota de navios americanos em Pearl Harbor.

4. O QUE VER:
Caminhe pelas ruas de Honolulu cheias de lojas com souveniers locais, lindos shoppings, praças com shows gratuitos de danças havaianas ao som do "ukelele", pequeno violão havaiano, também não deixe de assistir à um concerto gratuito da "The Royal Hawaiian Band", fundada em 1836, com mais de 40 componentes costuma dar mais de 300 concertos ao ano,  se apresentando  gratuitamente no Kapi'olani Park todos os domingos às 14h. 

5. ONDE COMPRAR:

6. ONDE COMER:
Muitos restaurantes chineses e japoneses, afinal você vai  estar à 6 horas do Japão, e o forte são frutos do mar. Se você quiser comprar as deliciosas frutas,  especialmente abacaxi,  Chinatown em Honolulu é uma boa opção, além de ser um otimo passeio.

Located in the Oahu's island, founded in 1845, with a strong Polynesian influence, is a dream for any surfer, because was in Waikiki, another region of Oahu whose the Hawaiian Duke Paoa Kahanamoku (1890-1968), known as "The Father of International Surfing" was raised, as an Olympic swimmer won his first gold medal in Stockholm, Sweden in 1912, and his sculpture can be visited  in the Kuhio Beach, Waikiki.

1. HOW TO ARRIVE:
Taking a direct flight from Los Angeles, USA  is the best way. In the Honolulu Airport the 6 hours flight and the 2-hours less timezon you'll be forget with the Hawaiian welcome ALOHA! If nobody give you the famous flowers necklace "leis", buy one to yourself, because to be happy and colorful is the island's tradition. Rent a car in the airport.

2. WHERE TO STAY:
With many available hotels, stay at Ala Moana Boulevard, close to everything, and wake up looking at the Ala Moana Beach.

3. WHAT TO DO:
If you don't do nothing in this island, you already did something! In the  morning you'll see many brides ready to say "I do", because there,  believe it or not, you can marry in a submarine, but if you aren't ready to get married or renew your vows on depths of 140 foot, the ATLANTIS ADVENTURES will take you to a kingdom of sea creatures, reefs and underwater gardens below the surface of the Pacific. Children must be 36" tall).The VALLEY OF THE TEMPLES, located near Kane'ohe, and the temple is a replica of the magnificent 900-year-old-Byodo-In Temple of Equality in Japan, with many ponds, Japanese carps and black swans among other wildlife. Enter barefoot on the temple to see an 18-foot meditation Buddha overlooks the quiet scene. The HONOLULU ZOO (151, Kapahulu Ave),  with more than 1200 species of mammals,  birds and reptiles, most of them are housed in open-air enclosures, which resembles their natural habitat. Named by a travel publication as one of the America's best zoo. Open daily 9am to 4:30pm. Visit the ARIZONA MEMORIAL,  O'ahu only National Monument, and pay a tribute to the Arizona crew, when on Dec. 7, 1941, the battleship became a target of a Japanese attack on the U.S. Pacific fleet in Pearl Harbor.

4. WHAT TO SEE:
Strolling on the Honolulu streets full of local souveniers, beautiful shoppings, free concerts in squares with Hawaiian's dancers and the "ukulele" guitar players. Also watch the 40 members of THE ROYAL HAWAIIAN BAND, founded in 1836, with more than 300 concerts a year, you can catch the band free presentations at Kapi'olani Park, every Sunday at 2pm.

The island is full of Chinese and Japanese restaurants, serving the best in seafood, after all you'll be 6 hours flight from Japan. If you want to buy delicious fruits, specially pineapple,  Chinatown, Honolulu is a good choice, and an interesting place to be visited.
