Bruxelas, Bélgica! Um brinde à capital da cerveja! (Brussels, Belgium! A toast to the beer capital!).

A capital da Bélgica,  Bruxelas pode não ser tão interessante quanto a cidade medieval de Brugges, já descrita aqui no blog, mas com 1,2 milhão de habitantes têm seus atrativos, e se estiver na Bélgica vale ser visitada. Anote estas dicas para conhecer melhor esta cidade que foi fundada no século X, e que também é a capital da União Européia:

1. ONDE FICAR:
NOVOTEL CENTRE TOUR NOIRE, Rue de La Vierge Noire, 32. No centro na  "cidade velha", é bem localizado a poucas quadras da Grand Place, com bom atendimento e estacionamento.

2. O QUE FAZER:
Circular pelas ruas de pedra da Grande Praça, GRAND PLACE, que foi construída no século XIII para ser um mercado de comércio, rodeada por magníficos prédios antigos, foi considerada pelo autor Victor Hugo (1802-1885) a praça mais linda do mundo, e Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO em 1998. Com muitos restaurantes e bares no seu entorno, à noite o show de luzes ao som de música clássica é um espetáculo memorável. Também na praça não deixe desapercebido um dos cartões postais da cidade, a pequena estátua em bronze do MANNEKEN PIS, famosa por ser um garoto fazendo pipi em uma fonte. Como você está no país das melhores cervejas, aqui na praça também está o museu da cerveja, o BELGIAN BREWERS MUSEUM.

3. O QUE VER:
Para visitar o ATOMIUM, que está distante do centro, pegue a Linha 6 do metrô e desça na estação Heysel Atomium  já avistando este prédio impactante à distância que foi  construído em 1958 para a EXPO 58, com 103m de altura, é visita imperdível especialmente para os amantes da arquitetura. Com 9 esferas ligadas por tubos, onde dentro de cada uma acontecem exposições, no seu topo têm um restaurante, e na sua base o MINI EUROPE que é um tour por várias cidades da Europa.

4. ONDE COMER:
RESTAURANTE MANNEKEN, Rue au Berre, 42. Uma boa opção no país que se come muito frutos do mar e batatas fritas, regados a mais de 700 marcas de cervejas, e como é tradição por lá, todas são servidas nos copos com logo de suas respectivas marcas.Haja copo! Um bar tradicional e badalado por lá é o DELIRIUM CAFÉ, Impasse da la Fidélité, 4. Com mais de 3.000 marcas de cerveja para todos os gostos e bolsos, já faz parte do Guinness Book desde 2004. Brussels the capital of Belgium, maybe is not so interesting as its medieval city Brugge, once described in this blog, but with 1,2 million inhabitants has many attractives, and if you are in Belgium worth a visit. Take a note of the following tips to enjoy better this city which was founded in the tenth century, and it is also the European Union capital:

1. WHERE TO STAY:
NOVOTEL CENTRE TOURN NOIRE, 32, Rue de La Vierge Noire. Very well located in "the old city" downtown, just a few blocks of the Grand Place, " the big square", with a good service, and parking lot.

2. WHAT TO DO:
Strolling by the streets paved with cobble stones, built in the thirteenth century to be a market trade. Surrounded by magnificent buildings, was considered by the author Victor Hugo (1802-1885) the most beautiful square in the world, and UNESCO World Heritage in 1998. With lots of restaurants and bars showing alive music, at night the square has an amazing lights show playing classic music songs, which is a memorable spectacle. Pay attention at the small bronze sculpture of the MANNEKEN PIS, a boy urinating in a fountain, which is one of the city's postcards. Remind yourself that you are in a country that houses the best beers in the world, and in this square you can visit the BELGIAN BREWERS MUSEUM.

3. WHAT TO SEE:
To visit the ATOMIUM building located far from downtown, take the subway Line 6 and get off in the Heysel Atomium station. This impressive building from the distance was built in 1958 for the EXPO 58, measuring 103 meters high, and is an obligation to be visited, especially for the architecture and science lovers. With 9 spheres connected by tubes, where inside of each one happens art exhibitions, on the top has a restaurant and at the foot of the Atomium   the MINI EUROPE, is the only park to have a tour around Europe. Opened everyday from 10am to 6pm.

4. WHERE TO EAT:
MANNEKEN RESTAURANT, 42, Rue au Berre. A good option in a city where the main dish is sea food and French fries, and any restaurant has more than 700 types of beer, as a tradition there, the glass should have the logo from the beer served. A tradicional and popular bar there is the DELIRIUM CAFÉ, 4, Impasse da la Fidélité.  Housing more than 3.000 brands of beer for all tastes and budgets, belonging to Guinness Book since 2004. For the chocolate lovers, don't leave this city without try a GODIVA or a CÔTE D'OR, the incomparable Belgian chocolate.
