1. CHEGANDO NO AEROPORTO:
Se você não possuir pesos chilenos (186 pesos chilenos=1 real) troque o suficiente para pequenas despesas, pois a cotação de aeroporto é  baixa, mas como muitos lugares só aceitam pagamento com moeda local (efectivo), não fique sem. Para chegar até seu destino vá de ônibus, compre passagem na  CENTROPUERTO dentro do aeroporto, os ônibus com bagageiros ficam em frente  e saem a cada 10 minutos com várias paradas até o centro da cidade, operando das 6h até 23:30h. Santiago with 5 million inhabitants in the metropolitan region is  the capital of Chile, the longest and thinest country in the world, which runs from the Andes to the Pacific.
As with all cities founded by the Spaniards in the 16th century, Santiago was laid around the Plaza de Armas (Central Square), as a grid plan which can still be seen today in the downtown's Historical Center.
Take a note of the following tips, to be enchanted in this cultural historical city, cheered with the tasty Chilean's wine:

1. ARRIVING IN THE AIRPORT:
If you don't have the country currency, Chilean's peso, (600 pesos=1U$), change a little amount for little expenses in the airport, because some locals accept only the local currency (efectivo).
To get in your destination the buses are cheaper and safe. Buy your ticket in the CENTROPUERTO's airport booth, the buses leaving each 10 minutes, with many stops until the city's downtown, working from 6am to 11:30pm. Avoid street cabs, besides so expensive there are many complaints about it. UBER and subway work well. You arrived in a big city, be careful with your belongs.

2. WHERE TO STAY:
PLAZA SAN FRANCISCO HOTEL (Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins Ave., 816). Located in the heart of Santiago, in the Historical Center, the hotel offers very good  service, and the delicious  breakfast is included, plus the culinary excellence from the award-winning Restaurant Bristol.

3. WHAT TO SEE:
Make a tour in the buildings of the Historical Center, beginning at the "Plaza de Armas" where are the "Cathedral" and the "National Historical Museum"; the "Government Palace La Moneda", the "Santiago Municipal Theater",  oldest cultural center built in the neoclassical style; the "Biblioteca Nacional" (National Library), and the "Saint  Francisco Church" (Iglesia San Francisco), built in 1572 is the oldest church in Santiago, located beside the Plaza San Francisco Hotel.

-EASTON OUTLET (Presidente Eduardo Frei Montalva, 9709 Quilicura). Similar to the American's outlets, is a leading destination for Chileans and tourists,  with more than 40 stores, including Nike among others famous brands. To arrive in Quilicura, the outskirts of Santiago, is cheaper and faster taking an UBER from Costanera Mall. Avoid to go there in the rush hours. Open Monday to Sunday from 10am to 8pm.

The people use to put tents on the sand to watch the fireworks which this year willl last 15 minutes in Praia Central between Pontal Norte and Barra Sul, but the best view is in Tamandaré Square. Castelo de Itaipava, Rio de Janeiro! Sim, nós temos castelo! (Itaipava Castle, Brazil! Yes, we have a castle!).

Castelo de Itaipava! Tão perto e tão real!

For the residents or the Rio de Janeiro's visitors, believe it or not, but you are 80km far from the unique authentic medieval castle of the Americas. Located on the km 56, BR 040 road of Itaipava in Petrópolis city. Built in 1920 by the architect Lucio Costa (1902-1998), to be a household of the  Brazilian noble Baron Jaime Smith de Vasconcelos (1884-1933), his wife the Baroness Anna Teresa Siciliano and their 7 children. From Portugal came the stones, and from Italy the Carrara marble to construct this  exuberant castle with 42 rooms which have all doors carved on the "jacarandá" wood, and in the past  the children names were written in gold on each bedroom's door.

Sevilha, Espanha! O melhor do flamenco está la! (Seville, Spain! The best of flamenco is there!).

Sevilha! Esta cidade colorida e alegre que traz o vibrante do flamenco em sua tradição, está situada na comunidade autônoma de Andaluzia. Com 700.000 habitantes, é a 4ª maior cidade espanhola. 1. COMO CHEGAR:
Em Madri na Estação Atocha pegue o trem de alta velocidade RENFE AVE, que em 2:30h percorrerá os 531km de distância que separam as duas cidades.

2. O QUE FAZER:
Andando ou de charrete é a melhor maneira de conhecer o centro de Sevilha, uma vez que nesta área não são  permitidos veiculos motorizados. Admirando as casas cobertas por ladrilhos com pitorescas sacadas tendo as grades pintadas de preto, você vai descobrir uma urbanização de ruas tão estreitas que mais parecem labirintos, tendo uma conhecida como a Rua do Beijo, que pelo nome já dá para imaginar a largura.

3. O QUE VISITAR:
-CATEDRAL E TORRE LA GIRALDA:
Construída entre 1184 e 1198 como mirante de uma mesquita, com 76m de altura e coroada com 4 grandes bolas douradas para ser vista de uma distância de 40km. Em 1568 as autoridades eclesiásticas decidiram construir uma nova torre com o simbolo cristão.
-PALÁCIO EL ALCAZAR:
Há mais de 1000 anos este conjunto de palácios cercado por belos jardins, também chamado de Reales Alcazares têm sido a sede do poder e residência real, mesmo com as reformas sofridas através do tempo, ainda segue sendo um dos melhores exemplos da arte Mudejar.

1. HOW TO ARRIVE:
In Madrid take the high speed train RENFE AVE in the Atocha Station, which takes 2:30h to complete the 531km of distance between Madrid and Seville.

2. WHAT TO DO:
Walking on, or by chariots is the best way to know the city's downtown, since motor vehicles are not allowed there. Admiring the houses with ceramic bricks on its façades, and also the peculiar balconies with iron grids painted in black. Strolling in this narrow urbanism you'll see the labyrint-like streets, and take care when walk on the so narrow path of the called Kiss Street (Calle del Beso).

3. WHAT TO VISIT:
-CATHEDRAL AND LA GIRALDA TOWER:
La Giralda was built as a minaret for the mosque between 1184 and 1198, with 76 meters high, crowned with 4 large golden balls, which were said to be seen for more than 40km away. In 1568 the church authorities decided to build a new top for the Christian symbol.
-EL ALCAZAR PALACE:
For a thousand years this group of palaces, encircled by beautiful gardens are  also called Reales Alcazares, has been the center of power and a royal residence. In spite of the reform it went through, it still one of the best samples of Mudejar style.

4. WHERE TO EAT:
Don't miss BARRIO DE SANTA CRUZ, where in the century 12th there were the Arabic bath houses, and you'll find restaurants in these preserved houses, like the RISTORANT SAN MARCO (C/. Mesón del Moro, 6-10), serving delicious Mediterranean cuisine, and classic flamenco music by alive guitar player.

5. BIENAL DEL FLAMENCO:
In September, Seville houses the best of its flamenco's music and dance spread by public squares and streets. It's time to be part of the feeling of the Gipsy people whose created flamenco music, arriving in Andaluzia in the 15th century. Possui 2 entradas, uma  pelo Alto Caparaó, Minas Gerais, e a outra pela Pedra Menina,Espírito Santo. A trilha para o pico é de 4,4km, com trechos íngremes e temperaturas baixas. Recomenda-se um guia local.
Para os apaixonados por veículos 4X4 a "Azimuth" faz estes passeios, saindo do Rio de Janeiro.
Aberto diariamente das 7:00h às 18:00h, com área disponível para acampamento.

Em Ibitirama, o restaurante TOCA DA TRUTA, localizado no interior da fazenda Pico da Bandeira, é pioneiro na criação de trutas no Espirito Santo. Mesmo que não for comer, vale o passeio neste lugar fantástico que também possui "Pesque e Pague", com 3 lagos repletos de trutas.

For the nature's lovers Serra do Caparaó,  (Caparaó mountain) is a perfect destination in a breathtaking scenery. Located between the states of Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo, distant 219km from the capital Vitória of Espirito Santo, and 440km from Rio de Janeiro, covering  the boroughs of Divino de São Lourenço, Iuna, Ibitirama, Irupi, Dores do Rio Preto, and the marvelous Caparaó National Park.

1. WHERE TO STAY:

2. WHAT TO DO:
CAPARAÓ NATIONAL PARK is an obligation to visit. This blessed sanctuary in the Atlantic Forest, which houses PICO DA BANDEIRA (2.891m), the third highest peak in Brazil and other 6 more peaks, also houses 2 stones, a PEDRA ROXA (2.064m) and a PEDRA MENINA (2.037m), and many waterfalls. The park has 2 entrances, one by Alto Caparaó in Minas Gerais, and other by Pedra Menina in Espirito Santo. The trail's distance for the Pico da Bandeira is the 4,4km, with difficult paths, and lower temperatures. A local guide is recommended.
For the 4X4 vehicle's  affectionates, "Azimuth" make these tours leaving from Rio de Janeiro.
The park is open daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Camping sites are also available.

3. WHERE TO EAT:
The restaurant TOCA DA TRUTA, located in Pico da Bandeira's farm in Ibitirama, is pioneer in growing trouts in Espirito Santo's state. Even if you don't eat there, a visit worth in this fantastic place. There are  3 lakes full of trouts for "Pesque e Pague", where you can pay for what you fishing.
