Se estiver em Whistler distante 120km de Vancouver você vai precisar dirigir mais 741km pela rota deslumbrante  da 93A para chegar na cidade de Jasper, bem distante, mas extremamente compensador em uma viagem que você não consegue piscar os olhos, hipnotizado pela beleza incansável das montanhas do "Canadian Rockies". Mas se estiver em Calgary só vai precisar rodar 120km para chegar na graciosa Banff. Lembre-se que quando chegar em qualquer uma das guaritas de entrada terá que informar o período da sua estadia tanto em Jasper quanto em Banff para pagar a taxa obrigatória de 20,00CAD por dia, o recibo dado deve ser fixado no vidro do seu veículo. As estradas do Canadá nesta região não têm pedágio, também fique atento em relação aos postos de gasolina, pois têm lugares nas montanhas que fica mais dificil encontrar. A gasolina no Canadá é vendida por litro, custando em média 1,40CAD/litro para a regular, os postos funcionam com sistema self service, com frentista é mais caro.

2.. JASPER NATIONAL PARK:
Só de dirigir pela magnífica 93A nesta área de 11.000km quadrados cheia de montanhas, vales e lagos e a possibidade de ver ursos Grizzly ou Black Bear, alces, lobos, cabras, os micros esquilos manto-dourado, e outros animais na mais perfeita interação com o seu hábitat já compensa a viagem. Pare no Icefield Centre, aberto de 15/4 a 15/10 para admirar as maravilhosas montanhas como a Athabasca de 3491m. Não deixe de visitar os belos lagos PATRICIA LAKE  e PYRAMID LAKE.

O QUE FAZER:
Visite o imperdivel lago de águas turquesa  LOUISE LAKE, que se não quiser dirigir até lá para evitar o estacionamento lotado, pegue um ônibus "shuttle" em frente à estação de trem de Banff, que custa 10CAD ida e volta, o primeiro sai às 7:00h.
ONDE FICAR:
Para se hospedar o hotel ELK+AVENUE, 333, Banff Avenue é bem localizado,  e com estacionamento incluído.

1. HOW TO ARRIVE:
If you are in Whistler far 120km from Vancouver, you'll need to drive more 741km to arrive in the city of Jasper, it's far, but you'll be compensate with the awesome nature beauty. But if you are in Calgary you'll need to drive just 120km to arrive in the pretty city of Banff. When you arrive there driving in each one of the 2 sides of the parks entrance, you must inform how long you'll stay in both parks, to pay the daily tickets of 20,00CAD per day. In this region don't have tolls. Pay attention with the gas stations, because in some areas is difficult to find it.

2. JASPER NATIONAL PARK:
WHAT TO DO:
Just to drive on the magnificent 93A road, inside this park spanding over 11.000 square kilometers full of mountains, valleys and lakes, and also to the possibility of see the Grizzly Bear, Black Bear, Elks, Mooses, Wolfs, Mountain Goats, Golden-Mante Squirrels and much more animals interacting perfectly in its habitat, is an amazing experience. Stop in the ICEFIELD CENTRE (open mid-April to mid-Oct) to admire the beautifull mountains like Athabasca with 3491m high. Don't miss there the wonderful PATRICIA LAKE and PYRAMID LAKE.

WHAT TO DO:
Visit the fabulous turquoise waters of the LOUISE LAKE, you can drive to there, but to avoid the full parking lots, in front of the train station in Banff's city take the bus shuttle paying 10,00CAD for the round trip, the first departs at 7am. In the city strolls by the streets full of stores, bars,  restaurantes and  beautiful parks.
