Haia, Den Haag em holandês, é a sede real da monarquia localizada na província da Holanda do Sul, distante 60km de Amsterdam, que pela constituição é a capital oficial. Com população de 500.000 habitantes, é a terceira maior cidade dos Paises Baixos, como também é conhecida a Holanda. Com grande tradição diplomática, pois lá aconteceram em 1899 e 1907 as Conferências de Haia, também 4 tribunais internacionais estão sediados na cidade.

1. COMO CHEGAR:
Em Amsterdam na Estação Central, pegue o trem que em menos de 40 minutos vai te deixar na Estação Central de Haia, com serviço de qualidade e muitas  opções de horários.

2. O QUE VER:
A dez minutos a pé da Estação Central de trem está o prédio histórico MAURITSHUIS localizado em frente ao lago no centro da cidade, que no passado foi a casa do conde e depois príncipe Johann Moritz of Nassau-Siegen (1604-1679), para nós Mauricio de Nassau, que foi o governador holandês de  Pernambuco. Hoje a casa transformada  em museu, abriga quadros  famosos como a espetacular obra prima da "Era de Ouro" holandesa, "Moça com brinco de pérola", do pintor holandês  Johaness Vermeer (1632-1675).

3. O QUE FAZER:
- Visitar o belissimo PALÁCIO DA PAZ sede do Tribunal Internacional da Justiça, órgão judicial da ONU.
- Pegue o TRAM (VLT holandês) que leva 15 minutos até o boulevard  de SCHEVENINGEN que é a praia de Haia. Com 2km de orla, cheio de lojas, restaurantes, bares, barraquinhas vendendo os típicos sanduiches de arenque, casinos, salas de cinema e também um pier com saltos de "bungee jumping" para os fans de emoções fortes.

The Hague is the seat of the royal monarchy, located in the province of the South Netherlands. Distant 60km from Amsterdam, which is considered the official capital by the  constitution. 1. HOW TO ARRIVE:
In Amsterdam's Central Station, take a train that in less than 40 minutes will arrive at The Hague's Central Station.The train offers good services and frequently time options.

After 10 minutes on foot from the Central Station you'll find the historical building MAURITSHUIS, located in the city's downtown in front of the lake, which in the past was a house of a Count and later a Prince Johann Moritz of Nassau-Siegen (1604-1679), known as Mauricio de Nassau when was the Dutch's governor in Pernambuco, Brazil. Nowadays the house became a museum housing famous paints like the fabulous master piece from the Netherlands Golden Era, "Girl with a pearl earring" from the Dutch's painter Johanness Vermeer (1632-1675).

- Visit the amazing PALACE OF PEACE housing the International Court of the Hague Justice Organization of  the United Nations.
- Take the TRAM DUCS to arrive in the boulevard of SCHEVENINGEM which is The Hague's beach place. Strolling on its 2km shore plenty of stores, bars, food stalls selling the traditional herring fish sandwiches, casinos and cinemas. For the fans of a radical sports  there is also a pier with a "bungee jumping".

Valparaíso, Chile! Um colorido museu à céu aberto! (Valparaiso, Chile! A colorful open air museum!).

Distante 144km de Santiago, capital do Chile, está Valparaiso, importante cidade portuária do Pacifico de 300.000 habitantes. Se o tempo permitir também poderá visitar o Museu Municipal de Belas Artes, e o Museu de História Natural, mas andar pelas ruas de uma cidade que as paredes de suas casas estão cobertas de arte, já vale e muito o passeio.

Viva as cores vivas de Valparaiso!

Chile's main important port city Valparaiso with 300.000 inhabitants is far 144km from the capital Santiago. Located on the Pacific coast, could be visited in 1 day together with the another beautiful neighbor city Viña del Mar, once described on this blog. The tourism became strong in Valparaiso when in 2011 the government began an urban project called "Plan Rumbo", paving streets and sidewalks and painting the buildings, transforming the place in a huge open air museum with its picturesque and colored houses. To strolling the many hills "cerros" there, flat shoes are welcomed. When visiting the multicolored neighborhood of CERRO ALEGRE, walking lost in time on its little streets housing bars, restaurants and little souvenirs stores, everything so bucolic, contrasting when you'll take one of the city elevators to go down to the main port and also UNESCO World Heritage Site. Boat tours around the Valparaiso's bay are available. In CERRO FLORIDA, you'll find "La Sebastiana", the  house museum of Pablo Neruda (1904-1973), the Chilean's poet, one of the most important of the 20th century, and Nobel prize-winning, who was also Consul of Chile in Spain and Mexico (1934-1938). Also the city houses an Art Museum, and a Natural History Museum, but strolling in a city where the streets and houses are covered of art is more than enough.

Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro! A nossa Cidade Imperial! (Petropolis, Brazil! Our Imperial City!).

Andando pelas ruas de Petrópolis, você têm a sensação de que já vai encontrar a Princesa Isabel (1846-1921) em uma de suas esquinas, nesta Cidade Imperial que completou 175 anos neste mês de março, mas que até hoje preserva toda a sua história dos seus anos de Império. In the Imperial Museum's theater don't miss the IMPERIAL SOIRÈE, a play about Princess Isabel and her friends telling  histories from the Imperial era, with classic music played on the piano and lots of poetry.

4. WHERE TO EAT:

The tulips, windmills, clog shoes, and the delicious cheeses Gouda and Edam from the beautiful Netherlands were already described here on the blog in the "Volendam" post, but the capital Amsterdam is an architectural feast. Founded in 1275 in the banks of the rivers Amstel and Schinkel the city had the "Gold Era" in the seventh century when was considered one of the richest city, where  many canals were built  to receive lots of ships coming from everywhere in the world.

Choose to stay in some downtown hotels, but if you stay a little far don't worry because the public transportation "TRAM DUCS", works very well.

I wrote above about the Brazilian's policies to gain miles when you travel or when you have one of their credit cards to get miles from that.
I know that is similar in  the United States where  several factors involved in determining how many miles it will cost to book a trip, depending in their seats available, how far away the trip is on the calendar, with it the trip is National or International, and what class seat you want to sit in. - HEMISFÈRIC:
É um espetacular e único prédio que representa o grande olho humano, que é a maior sala de projeção da Espanha, com IMAX DOME em grande formato, sempre apresentando diferentes filmes, onde a tela é a esfera total, como se você estivesse dentro do filme em projeções 3D.

- UMBRACLE:
Um mirante gigante com mais de 17.500 metros quadrados aonde todo o complexo pode ser contemplado. Na sua parte inferior têm estacionamento pago de 2 andares para 700 veículos.

No maior aquário da Espanha, você poderá viajar pelos principais mares e oceanos do planeta, do Ártico ao Antártico, através de 9 torres submarinas,  encontrando mais de 45.000 exemplares de 500 diferentes espécies que por lá habitam. Valência! O futuro dentro de uma cidade histórica!

The city of Valencia with 800.000 inhabitants is located in the east of Spain in Mediterranean's coast. Far 357km from the capital Madrid, but on board of the new line of AVE's high speed train, you'll take only 1:35 minutes trip to arrive there, giving you the opportunity to spend at least 1 day in this historical city, founded by Romans in 138 before Christ. This building  representing a large human eye, is an unique and spectacular construction housing the largest cinema IMAX DOME auditorium in Spain. Showing different 3D movies in its huge sphere.
