Fortaleza de São João, RJ! Onde a Cidade Maravilhosa começou! (São João Fortress, RJ, Brazil! Where the Wonderful City began!).

 Em tempos de pandemia um passeio imperdível é a Fortaleza de São João construída no atual Bairro da Urca no Rio de Janeiro, quando os franceses foram expulsos da Baía da Guanabara que ocupavam desde 1555 a chamando de França Antártica, em 1565 cinco navios liderados por Estácio de Sá chegaram ao local, que além da conquista da baía fundou a cidade de São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro em 1o. de março de 1565, e foi o 1o. governador da capitania e da cidade.

Anote estas dicas para para fazer uma trilha até o Morro do Cão, e se deslumbrar com este lugar histórico que hoje abriga o Centro de Capacitação Física do Exército:

1. COMO VISITAR:

As visitas são feitas somente através de prévio agendamento pelo site, elas são gratuitas e guiadas, de terça a domingo, às 9h e 13:30h.

2. COMO CHEGAR:

O melhor é de carro com estacionamento mas ruas do entorno, mas também têm ônibus e metrô que param próximo ao Bairro da Urca.

3. BAIRRO DA URCA:

Este bairro tradicional e aconchegante junto com a Baía da Guanabara tem um passado ligado a história do Brasil, onde no século XVI era habitada por índios e depois virou base militar para os portugueses, mas só começou ganhar o formato atual com as construções dos primeiros prédios entre 1922 e 1923, personalidades famosas como Carmen Miranda já tiveram residência no bairro e o Rei Roberto Carlos ainda impera por lá.

4. PRAIA DE FORA:

Entre o Morro do Cão e o Pão de Açúcar foi onde Estácio de Sá desembarcou e fundou a cidade, e lá está a Praça da Fundação.

5. MORRO CARA DE CÃO:

Onde está o ótimo Museu Histórico da Fortaleza de São João contando toda a história da fundação da Cidade Maravilhosa.

The São João Fortress was built in the  quarter of Rio's Bairro da Urca when the French people was expelled from the Guanabara Bay that was occupied by them since 1555 and called it France Antartic, but in 1565, five ships led by Estácio de Sá arrived there, and besides the bay conquer he also founded the city of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro on March 1st, 1565, and he was the captaincy and the city's first governor.

1. HOW TO VISIT:

The tours are free and guided, but only by previous schedule on the site, that are guided and free, from Tuesday to Sunday, at 9am and 1:30pm.

2. HOW TO ARRIVE:

Better by car, arrive early to free parking on the streets around, but also has public bus and subway that stop close to the Bairro da Urca quarter.

3. URCA QUARTER:

This traditional and cosy quarter next to the Guanabara Bay has a Brazil's historical past, where in the 17th century was inhabited by indians, and after became an Army base for the Portugueses, but only got the actual shape with the first buildings built between 1922 and 1923, famous people as the bombshell Carmen Miranda used to live in that place, and Roberto Carlos a king of romantic music still lives there.

4. PRAIA DE FORA:

Conservatória o belo município de Valença,  distante 142km do Rio de Janeiro, é uma graciosa cidadezinha de casas coloniais do século XVIII, que têm a tradição de em "cada casa uma canção, e em cada canção algo para lembrar", exalando a boa  musica brasileira.

1. Como chegar:
Saindo do Rio pegue a Via Dutra em direção a Piraí, e pegue a RJ 145 até chegar a Rodovia das Trovas.

Pousada Casa do Sandrinho, (24992567403) é um cantinho alegre e aconchegante, pertinho do centro, com café da manhã farto e delicioso, têm até rabanadas para comer rezando, tudo  preparado pelas mãos do Sandrinho, sem estacionamento, mas é seguro nas vagas na rua em frente.

3. O QUE FAZER:
Ande pelo centrinho apreciando as belas casas coloniais com suas coloridas lojinhas vendendo artesanato local, com esculturas de violões espalhadas, vá até o Túnel Maria Nossar conhecido como TÚNEL QUE CHORA, belíssima construção artesanal feita pelos escravos em pedras rústicas calçado com pedras pé-de-moleque e com lágrimas caíndo de uma fonte de água pura dentro do túnel, que têm a magia de fazer retornar a cidade quem beber desta água, foi inaugurado em 1883 com a presença da família Imperial; e para quem gosta de natureza a Cachoeira da Índia é lugar bacana e de fácil acesso; também têm a Serra da Beleza distante 13km do centro, com uma vista de tirar o fôlego das montanhas que parecem formadas por ondas, passe pela ponte dos arcos que no passado tinham trilhos para a passagem dos trens, e ainda no centro não deixe de conhecer a locomotiva que é uma Maria Fumaça de número 206, que está parada há mais de 20 anos nesta Estação Ferroviária que foi inaugurada por D. Pedro II em 1883 para o transporte de café, e a atração maior é ir na lojinha em frente e se vestir com o modelito da época e registrar na foto o luxo da Era do Café.

4. ONDE COMER:
Com bons cafés e restaurantes em volta do centrinho o mais recomendado, e é muito bom mesmo é o Dó Ré Mi, todos com música ao vivo, e a Serra da Beleza também abriga restaurante, e para quem gosta de um bom café têm o Sonora que é um pequeno teatro com shows da cantora Juliana Maia.

1. HOW TO ARRIVE:
From Rio take the Via Dutra in the direction of Piraí, and take RJ 145 until arrive on the Rodovia das Trovas road.

2. WHERE TO STAY:
Casa do Sandrinho bed & breakfast (24992567403) is a cosy place close to downtown, including a delicious breakfast prepared by the owner Sandrinho, no parking lot, but is safe to leave the car on the street.

3. WHAT TO DO:
Strolling on the little downtown enjoying the beautiful colonial houses with local craft stores, and many guitars sculptures spread on the streets, go to the Maria Nossar Tunnel as known as The Crying Tunnel, an amazing construction of 95m extension in rustic stones made by the slaves, and the tears fall from a pure water font inside of the tunnel, saying that drinking this water you'll be back to the city, inaugurated in 1883 with the presence of the Imperial family; if you like nature go to the India Waterfall that is easy to arrive there, also the Serra da Beleza, 13km far from downtown, a breathtaking view of mountains looking like big waves, passing by the Arcs Bridge that was a railroad in the past, and don't miss the Maria Fumaça  locomotive number 206 stopped for more than 20 years in this Train Station that was inaugurated for the coffee transportation by D. Pedro II in 1883, and the best attraction is taking a picture  wearing the Coffee Era outfit from the store just across the street.

4. WHERE TO EAT:
The good Cafes and restaurants are in downtown, most of them with live music, Dó Ré Mi is the best there, you can also have a meal on the Serra da Beleza mountain, and if you like a good little coffee, Sonora is also a small theater with shows of the singer Juliana Maia.
