Pirâmide do Louvre, Paris, França! 30 anos de sucesso! (Pyramid of Louvre, Paris, France! 30 years of success!).

Quem diria que há 30 anos atrás a polêmica e tão contestada PIRÂMIDE DO MUSEU DO LOUVRE é hoje tão fotografada quanto a famosa Torre Eiffel, ajudando este museu de mais de 72.000m2 com cerca de 38.000 obras receber mais de 10 milhões de visitantes no ano passado. O museu está localizado no centro de Paris, o acesso mais fácil é de metrô descendo na linda estação RIVOLI.

- ARQUEOLOGIA EM BALÕES na Petite Galerie até 1o. de julho, esta exposição faz referência aos balões das histórias em quadrinhos.
- REINOS ESQUECIDOS Entre 2 de maio e 12 de agosto no Hall Napoleón,  na mostra "herdeiros do Império Hitita".
- MICHELANGELO E RAFAEL, de 27 de junho à 30 de setembro na Rotunda Sully, com gravuras da Coleção Mariette.
- LUÍS XIV, de 21 de fevereiro a 20 de maio na Rotunda Sully, 120 gravuras em metal, a maior parte delas  mostrando cerimônias e eventos da vida deste rei.

4. GRÁTIS:

1. HOW TO ARRIVE:
The museum is located in Paris downtown, the most easy access is by subway getting off in the beautiful Rivoli Station.

Serra da Canastra, Minas Gerais! Offroad com o seu famoso queijo! (Serra da Canastra mountain, MG, Brazil! Offroad with its famous cheese!).

Se estiver em Capitólio, Minas Gerais um dos passeios imperdíveis é o trajeto de 86km até a Serra da Canastra, finalizando no Parque Nacional da Serra da Canastra. Anote estas dicas e vá se deslumbrar por este caminho avistando os belos paredões de natureza sem fim:

1. COMO CHEGAR:
O ideal é ir no seu próprio veículo de preferência 4x4, pois algumas partes dos 86km é em estrada de chão e às vezes bem precária, principalmente no verão época de períodos chuvosos, se tiver dúvida quanto ao trajeto pergunte a uma das agências em Capitólio que fazem estes passeios 4x4, a REZENDE no centro entende bem destes offroads e também faz com os seus carros 4x4 cobrando R$90,00 p/pessoa.

2. NO OFFROAD:
Saindo de Capitólio pegue a MG 050, após 22km vai chegar na pequena cidade de PIUMHI com 35.000 habitantes, abrigando 2 belas igrejas, pegue a estrada MG 341 seguindo para as próximas cidadezinhas de SÃO JOSÉ DO BARREIRO com 4.500 habitantes e VARGEM BONITA com 3.000 habitantes, que foi a primeira cidade banhada pelo Rio São Francisco, até chegar a entrada do Parque Nacional da Serra da Canastra.

Pare em todos os mercadinhos que encontrar por este caminho para degustar e comprar esta iguaria que é Patrimônio Nacional desde 2008, produzida artesanalmente há mais de 200 anos, o Queijo Canastra é encorpado com sabor único e meio picante, oriundo dos pastos nativos, altitude e a água pura desta serra, além dos queijos também têm geléias diversas e café e pão de queijo, tudo produzido nesta abençoada região.

5. PARQUE NACIONAL SERRA DA CANASTRA:
Neste cenário de rara beleza com muitas espécies de fauna e flora da Mata Atlântica e da vegetação do Cerrado, dentro do Parque está o município de SÃO ROQUE DE MINAS, onde está a nascente do Rio São Francisco e também a sua mais requisitada  atração a CACHOEIRA CASCA D'ANTA com 186 metros de queda. O parque abre diariamente das 8h às 16h para compra de ingressos à R$10,00, mas pode ficar no parque até às 18h. Estacionamento na entrada. Somente 10 carros podem estacionar dentro do parque. Chegue cedo pois costuma ficar lotado, principalmente em feriados.

1. HOW TO ARRIVE:
The best option is driving your own vehicle, the 4x4 is better, besides be less expensive some parts of the road are non-paved on a non-good condition, specially in the summer considered a raining season, if you have doubts about the route asked in one of the agencies for 4x4 tours located in Capitólio's downtown, REZENDE agency is very good in those offroads, doing also with their cars for R$90,00 Reais/person.

2. ON THE OFFROAD:
From Capitólio take the MG 050, after 22km you'll arrive in the small city of PIUMHI with 35.000 inhabitants housing 2 beautiful churches, than take the MG 341 to the next little cities of SÃO JOSÉ DO BARREIRO, 4.500 inhabitants, and VARGEM BONITA, 3.000 inhabitants, which was the first city washed by the São Francisco river and go up to the Serra da Canastra National Park.

3. WHERE TO MAKE A STOP TO EAT:

4. CANASTRA CHEESE:
Stop in all of the little markets that you'll find on the road to try and buy this delicacy considered a Braziliam National Patrimony since 2008, a full bodied and spicy handmade cheese produced for more than 200 years with the native pastures, altitude and pure waters from this mountain, besides the Canastra Cheese they also sell different flavours jams, coffee and cheese bread, everything from there.

5. SERRA DA CANASTRA NATIONAL PARK:
In this rare beautiful scenery full of many species of fauna and flora from the Atlantic Forest and Cerrado vegetation, where inside of the park is the SÃO ROQUE DE MINAS county, the source of the São Francisco river, and also the CACHOEIRA CASCA D'ANTA the most visited 186 meters high waterfall. The park opens daily from 8am to 4pm to buy the R$10,00 Reais tickets at the entrance, but you can stay in the park until 6pm. Free parking lot at the entrance, and also inside the park,  but just for 10 vehicles. Arrive early specially on the holidays.

Capitólio, Minas Gerais! A beleza surpreendente dos seus canyons! (Capitólio, MG, Brazil! The surprising beauty of its canyons!).

Capitólio é uma pequena cidade diferente no estado de Minas Gerais, com 9.000 habitantes não carrega história como Tiradentes ou Ouro Preto, e está longe de ser uma cidade moderna, mas está recheada de verdes encantos  revelando aos seus visitantes o mundo dos belíssimos canyons, natureza pouco conhecida no Brasil. Distante 281km da capital Belo Horizonte, 454km de São Paulo e 638km do Rio de Janeiro ela é a porta de entrada para a Serra da Canastra distante 86km, que vai estar na próxima  postagem deste blog.
Anote estas dicas e vá se deslumbrar neste paraíso de cachoeiras, mirantes, canyons e lagoas:

1. QUANDO VISITAR:
A melhor estação é o verão, mesmo havendo períodos de chuva, pois nas outras estações já é frio e as águas ficam muito geladas.

2. COMO CHEGAR:
De avião até Belo Horizonte; de ônibus têm direto vindo de São Paulo para o pequeno terminal rodoviário no centro de Capitólio; ou vindo de outras cidades até Belo Horizonte, mas o ideal é ir de carro, de preferência 4x4, pois alguns acessos para os passeios são apropriados para estes veículos, e a viagem fica bem mais em conta.

3. ONDE FICAR:
Em termos de hospedagem não é um destino barato, a cidade dispõe de hotéis, pousadas rústicas, resorts e muitas áreas de camping. O HOTEL MINASTUR, Rua Cel. - PASSEIO DE LANCHA, é imperdível e a melhor atração de Capitólio, a saída é na Ponte do Rio Turvo, chegue cedo para estacionar o carro nas vagas gratuitas, a agência VIVA FURNAS com lanchas novas, coletes e banheiro é super eficiente na rota de 3 horas passando pelo Vale dos Tucanos, Cascatinha, Canyons, Lagoa Azul e finalizando num quiosque flutuante da Cervejaria Scarpas, cerveja artesanal local. - PEDREIRA LAGOA AZUL, após o Mirante dos Canyons, num offroad difícil de 8km de muita pedra e erosão que vai fazer feliz os amantes do 4x4, você também pode contratar estes passeios offroad.
- CACHOEIRAS do FILÓ, TRILHA DO SOL, SABIÁ, CASCATINHA, DO LOBO DIQUADINHA, DA CAPIVARA e outras, todas distantes e pagas.
- USINA HIDRELÉTRICA DE FURNAS, passeio bacana e com 2 mirantes gratuitos, fica do outro lado da estrada da subida para a Pedreira.

A cidade não têm boa gastronomia, têm o SKINA, Rua Cesar Maia, 66, Centro, à la carte, a comida é boa, mas não têm vinho, só cerveja e só têm uma sobremesa;
 em frente a PIZZARIA CAPITÓLIO, ótimas pizzas, têm vinho, cerveja, mas não têm sobremesa; Têm um outro restaurante na outra esquina que serve self-service ao meio-dia e com menu à noite; o aconchegante e bem decorado bar SCARPAS BIER HAUS, Cel. Lourenço Belo, 459, Centro, serve petiscos e a cerveja local; e se quiser comprar delicias para souveniers o CHALÉ DO QUEIJO, MG05P, Km 282 com um pequeno zoológico vale a visita.

6. ALAMBIQUES:
CACHAÇA RODRIGUINHA, Est. Rodriguinha, km 2, desde 1901, totalmente artesanal, com as mais envelhecidas nos barris de carvalho custando mais cara, com direito à degustação; já a CACHAÇA SOSSEGADA, Rua Germ.Teodora de Jesus, mais distante, é maior, com degustação e  e venda de outros produtos.

Capitólio is a small different city in Minas Gerais state, with 9.000 inhabitants isn't  historical like the cities of Tiradentes or Ouro Preto in the same state, and it's so far to be a modern city, but is full of an enchanted green showing to its tourist the world of the beautiful canyons, a unknown nature in Brazil. Distant 281km from the capital Belo Horizonte, 454km from São Paulo, and 638km from Rio de Janeiro, is the main entrance for the Serra da Canastra mountains, distant 86km, which will be the next post in this blog.
Take a not of these tips to enjoy these lagoons, waterfalls, gazebos and canyons:

1. WHEN TO VISIT:
The best season is summer, even rainning, in the other seasons the water is so cold.

2. HOW TO ARRIVE:
By plane arriving in Belo Horizonte, by bus from São Paulo or Belo Horizonte arriving in the city downtown small Bus Terminal, but the best way is by car, the 4x4 vehicles are better, because almost all the access to the places are appropriated for those cars, and the trip will be less expensive.

3. WHERE TO STAY:
This isn't a cheap place to stay, but the city houses some hotels, rustic bed & breakfasts, resorts and many camping sites. The MINASTUR HOTEL has good service, parking lot, WIFI, and excellent breakfast included, and is very well located in downtown, close to the bus terminal, the artificial lagoon and restaurantes.

4. WHAT TO DO:
- ARTIFICIAL LAGOON, strolling there to watch the sunset and browsing the street fair selling handmade local products, also there is a Tourism Center for Informations.
- MIRANTE DOS CANYONS lookout, after the Ponte do Rio Turvo bridge, is an obligation to visit seeing from above the imposing canyons of 20 meters high. Opened 9am to 5pm. Tickets R$20,00 reais.
- BOAT TOUR, leaving from the Ponte do Rio Turvo bridge is the best and unmissable tour in Capitólio, must arrive early to park the car in a free spot. Viva Furnas agency with new boats, life vest and bathroom, is very safe in a 3 hours tour visiting the Tucanos Valley, Cascatinha waterfall, Canyons, Blue Lagoon and finishing in a floating kioske from Scarpas Brewery selling the local craft beer. Take swimming suits, flip flops and towel for the diving stops. The boat leaves daily  at 9am which is the best, and at noon. Make the reservation wirh Edney from Viva Furnas (37)998422907. Tickets R$90,00 reais p/person.
- PEDREIRA LAGOA AZUL, after the Mirante dos Canyons, turn right in a very hard offroad of 8km full of bumps and stones, which will make happy the 4x4 vehicles lovers.
- The WATERFALLS of FILÓ, TRILHA DO SOL, SABIÁ, CASCATINHA, DO LOBO, DIQUADINHA, DA CAPIVARA among others are distant and paid.

The city doesn't offer a good gastronomy, in downtown there is the SKINA RESTAURANTE serving a good food from the menu, but no wines only beers and just one option for a dessert; in front of is CAPITOLIO PIZZAS serving a very good pizzas, has wines and beers but no desserts; and in the other corner a good self-service restaurant at lunch, and menu at dinner; the SCARPAS BIER HAUSS bar is very cosy serving appetizers and the local craft beer; and to buy delicious souveniers the CHALÉ DO QUEIJO housing a small zoo, worth a visit.

6. STILL (ALAMBIQUE):
RODRIGUINHA CACHAÇA, since 1901is totally handmade, there you can taste that famous Brazilian drink from the sugar cane aged in oak barrels: the SOSSEGADA CACHAÇA is more distant, but bigger, selling another products and there you can taste different cachaça liquors mixed with fruits.

Distant 4km from Pelajo Bed & Breakfast turn on the right side in the same Estrada Isaías Vidal road, Albuquerque, to find ASHRAM VRAJABHUMI among pretty lakes and little bridges it is the only Buddhist Temple in Teresópolis, making you feel that you are in a small piece of India totally surrounded by a spiritual peace that comes from meditation. The local is open for the public for visitation, but if you want you can participate of the Sunrise and Sunset Ceremonies at 7:30am and 7:30pm.
