Brugges, Bélgica! A tradição da tapeçaria medieval está lá! (Brugge, Belgium! The medieval tapestries tradition is there!).

Volte ao tempo visitando Brugges, essa mágica cidade medieval da Bélgica, localizada 97kms da capital Bruxelas com 118.000 habitantes. Considerada a capital de Flandres Ocidental por ser  cortada por muitos canais e lagos, é também conhecida como a Veneza do Norte numa comparação com a famosa cidade do Mediterrâneo. No século X começa a fabricação de lã e tecidos em Flandres, e em Brugges as tapeçarias medievais e as rendas que acabaram chegando no Nordeste brasileiro com a ocupação holandesa da capitania de Pernambuco e tomou o nome de "renda de bilro".
Anote estas dicas para desfrutar melhor desta cidade que até hoje mantém suas antigas tradições:

1. O que fazer:
Percorra as ruas  perdendo a respiração com a beleza das casas recortadas como se fossem rendas, que ficam ainda mais realçadas pelos românticos canais. Pare para admirar as inúmeras vitrines, uma mais linda que a outra, com almofadas de todos os tamanhos e tapeçarias reproduzindo quadros famosos como se fossem obras de arte expostas em pequenos museus.
Impossível não comprar!

2. O que ver:
Visite a igreja em estilo gótico N. Sra. de Brugges, que começou a ser construída em 1220 e só foi concluída após 200 anos. Totalmente dedicada à Nossa Sra., não deixe de apreciar a escultura em mármore branco da Madonna criada por Michelangelo.

3. Onde comer:
Entre tantos ótimos restaurantes italianos o "Riva del Sole" (Rua Wollestraat, 22) é uma boa escolha. Também serve culinária francesa.

4. Onde comprar:
Imperdível é o 2be-Mood Shopping (Rua Wollestraat, 53) a antiga casa do século XV que pertenceu ao prefeito "Perez de Valenda", neste shopping você encontrará muitos produtos locais como cervejas, chocolates, biscoitos, camisetas, etc.

Back in time when visitng  Brugge, the Belgium's marvelous medieval city. Located 97km from the capital Brussels, with 118.000 inhabitants is considered the Western Flanders capital. Cut by many channels and lakes it's also known as Venice of the North in compare with the famous Mediterranean city. In the 10th century the tradition of manufacturing wool  and fabrics began in Flanders, and Brugge started  to produce the medieval tapestries, and the famous embroiders, which also arrived in the Northeast Brazil brought by the Dutchs, known as "Bilro's Embroider".
Following those tips to enjoy better the city that still keeping the old traditions:

1. What to do:
Strolling on that streets with those breathtaking view of the houses shaped as fine embroiders, and  enhanced by the romantic channels and lakes. Stopping to admire the beautiful windows showing the tapestries and pillows in different sizes reproducing famous paintings like artworks displayed in small museums. Impossible don't buy nothing!

2. What to see:
Visit the gothic style "Our Lady of Brugge Church"  which began to be built in 1220 and ended 200 years later. This church is totally devoted to Our Lady, and the Madonna's white marble sculpture by Michelangelo worth a visit.
Free admittance.

3. Where to eat:
Among many delicious Italian's restaurants, "Riva del Sole" (22, Wollestraat St), is a good choice also offering French cuisine.

4. Where to buy:
Don't miss the "2be-Mood Shopping" (53, Wollestraat St) the 15th century mayor's house "Perez de Malvenda", where you can find a wide variety of Belgium's products like  beers,  chocolates, biscuits, t-shirts, etc.
