Amsterdam, Holanda! De barco, bicicleta ou a pé! (Amsterdam, Netherlands! By boat, by bike or on foot!).

A linda Holanda das tulipas, moinhos, tamancos, e dos deliciosos queijos Gouda e Edam já foi descrita no post de Volendam aqui no blog, mas sua imperdível capital Amsterdam é uma festa arquitetônica. Fundada em 1275, banhada pelos rios Amstel e Schinkel, a cidade viveu o "Era de Ouro" no século XVII quando foi considerada uma das cidades mais ricas, construindo vários canais para receber os muitos navios que chegavam de todas as partes do mundo.
Anote estas dicas, e vá de barco, bicicleta ou a pé aproveitar esta cidade única que abriga os mais  maravilhosos museus:

1. ONDE FICAR:
Escolha um hotel na região central, na área dos museus, mas se for um pouco distante não têm problema pois o transporte público feito pelo TRAM DUCS (trem sobre trilhos), funciona muito bem.

2. O QUE VER:
Pegue um barco pelos canais para ir apreciando as perspectivas das fachadas das casas numa mistura alegre das épocas Art Nouveau, Barroco e Renascimento. No movimento vagaroso do barco passando pelos lindos 4 canais paralelos de Singel, Herengracht, Keisergracht  e Prinsengracht onde está o MUSEU DE ANNE FRANK, continue se deslumbrando com a visão das cores das casas banhadas pela luz natural, tendo a certeza  que você está dentro de um quadro de Van Ghog.
A pé comece por Dam, a praça principal da cidade, caminhando longas horas, passando pelo Palácio Royal, pela tranquila Begijnho com muitas casas com gramados amplos, e se estiver por lá nas sextas ou domingos, visite o "Spui" mercado de antiguidades, prossiga até o antigo Quarteirão Judaico (Jodenbuurt), indo até Jodenbreestraat 4 no magnífico MUSEU CASA REMBRANDT, e faça o tempo render para o indescritível MUSEU DE VAN GOGH, Paulus Potterstraat, 7.
De bicicleta você pode pedalar pelos novos distritos, descobrindo lugares lindos e calmos que só será possivel em 2 rodas. ATENÇÃO COM AS BICICLETAS AO CRUZAR RUAS.

3. AONDE COMER:
Você vai encontrar diferentes tipos de restaurantes, mas para os amantes de um bom bife, o Alberto's Carreta, Rua Spui, 8 é uma boa pedida. Já para as longas caminhadas nada como uma parada para um bom café com uma deliciosa fatia de torta de limão, disponíveis em toda esquina na rede da "CoffeeCompany".

4. BOA DICA:
Compre o cartão da cidade "I Amsterdam", para entradas gratuitas em mais de 25 museus, acesso em alguns  transportes e descontos em muitas atrações e restaurantes. Com cartões disponíveis à partir de 24h.

Amsterdam! Mistura entre o passado e o futuro na capital Dutch!

The tulips, windmills, clog shoes, and the delicious cheeses Gouda and Edam from the beautiful Netherlands were already described here on the blog in the "Volendam" post, but the capital Amsterdam is an architectural feast. Founded in 1275 in the banks of the rivers Amstel and Schinkel the city had the "Gold Era" in the seventh century when was considered one of the richest city, where  many canals were built  to receive lots of ships coming from everywhere in the world.
Take a note of these tips, and by bike, by boat or on foot enjoy this unique city housing the most wonderful museums:

1. WHERE TO STAY:
Choose to stay in some downtown hotels, but if you stay a little far don't worry because the public transportation "TRAM DUCS", works very well.

2. WHAT TO SEE:
Take a boat-ride through downtown enjoying its façades perspectives with a cheerful blend of Baroque, Art Nouveau and Renaissance styles. You'll move slowly down on the beautiful 4 parallel canals, the Singel, the Herengracht, the Keisergracht and the Prinsengracht (ANNE FRANK MUSEUM) enjoying the amazing houses view bathed in a natural light, feeling like you are inside of a Van Gogh's paint.
On foot your starting point should be the Dam, the city's main square, strolling long hours, passing by the Royal Palace, the serene Begijnho with many houses with large lawns,  go to the Spui antiques  market (Fridays and Sundays) still walk over to the old Jewish Quarter (Jodenbuurt), to the  Jodenbreestraat, 4 to the REMBRANDT HOUSE  MUSEUM, and save time to visit the awesome VAN GOGH MUSEUM, Paulus Potterstraat, 7.
By bike you can pedal out to the city new districts discovering exquisitely quite places which is only possible on two wheels. TAKE CARE WITH THE BICYCLES WHEN CROSSING THE  STREETS.

3. WHERE TO EAT:
You'll find many different kind of restaurants, for a good stake, Alberto's Carreta Steakhouse, Spui, 8 is a good choice, but for long walks, stop for a delicious coffee with a slice of lemon cake in the CoffeeCompany, found in each town's corner.

4. TIP:
