Distante 9km da bela e imperdível Veneza, o pequeno municipio de Mestre com 70.000 habitantes é uma ótima opção hoteleira, principalmente para quem estiver de carro, com bons preços e muitos hotéis disponíveis pela Via Forte Marghera.
Anote estas dicas para também desfrutar deste pequeno local, afinal você está na Itália:

1. ONDE FICAR:
HOTEL SAN CARLO, Via Forte Marghera, 131, local bacana em frente a um canal com muitos barcos ancorados, bem localizado no centro de Mestre, 600 metros da antiga e principal praça "Piazza Ferreto", com estacionamento incluído e bom café da manhã por 5€.

2. COMO CHEGAR:
Bem fácil, tanto da estação de trem, como do Aeroporto Marco Polo em Veneza, onde pode alugar carro, ou pegar ônibus com parada 50 metros distante do hotel.

3. O QUE FAZER:
A atração da cidade, onde circulam os locais e turistas é a praça "Piazza Ferreto" com muitos bares e restaurantes, bem ampla para caminhar e apreciar os muitos prédios antigos, e para visitar a atração principal é o relógio que está na Torre Cívica de Mestre.

4. ONDE COMPRAR:
No caminho para a praça e no seu entorno, bom comércio com lojas bacanas e também um shopping com marcas conhecidas como a H&M, e um ótimo supermercado.

5. ONDE COMER:
Com muitas cantinas espalhadas, afinal você está na Itália, o Ristorante Marco Polo, Via Forte Marghera, 67, lindinho e aconchegante, bom preço, vinho da casa e de sobremesa um tiramisu para comer rezando, próximo aos hotéis é uma ótima pedida no dia da chegada, após longas horas de vôo e fuso horário, também têm restaurantes japoneses e indianos.

6. DE MESTRE PARA VENEZA:
Pode pegar ônibus ou tram, trenzinho tipo VLT, a passagem de ida e volta é vendida na recepção do hotel, pega e desce bem próximo do hotel na estação San Marco-Mussati, leva 10 minutos até "Venezia Piazza de Roma", quando chegar se informe o último horário para não ficar em Veneza e dormir em uma gôndola, se der, eu bem que gostaria.

Distant 9km from the beautiful and unmissable Venice, the small borough of Mestre, with 70.000 inhabitants is a good option to stay, specially if you are driving, with good rates and plenty of hotels spread by Via Forte Marghera.
Take a note of these tips to enjoy this little place, after all you are in Italy:

1. WHERE TO STAY:
HOTEL SAN CARLO, 131, Via Forte Marghera, well located in downtown, in front of a canal full of anchored boats, just 600 meters from the main old square 'Piazza Ferreto", with parking lot included and good breakfast for 5€.

2. HOW TO ARRIVE:
So easy to arrive even  from the railway station or from the Marco Polo airport in Venice, where you can rent a car or take a bus to Mestre, leaving you 50 meters from that hotel.

3. WHAT TO DO:
The city main attraction where the locals and tourist strolling is the "Piazza Ferreto", so wide to walk admiring the old buildings, and the main attraction to visit is a clock that is in the tower of the Torre Cívica de Mestre.

4. WHERE TO BUY:
In the way to the square and around of it, nice stores and a good shopping center with well known brands as H&M, and a good supermarket.

5. WHERE TO EAT:
Plenty of cantinas, the  Ristorante Marco Polo, 67, Via Forte Marghera is pretty and cosy, good house wine, and for a desert don't miss a delicious tiramisu, also Indian and Japanese restaurants there.

6. FROM MESTRE TO VENICE:
You can take bus or tram in the San Marcos-Mussati station close to that hotel in Mestre,  tickets are available in the hotel reception, taking 10 minutes to the Venice "Roma Square", when arriving ask for the last trip back, for don't stay in Venice sleeping in a gondola, if be possible, I wish to do that.
