The Split Urban Rooms is simple,  close to downtown and the turistic sights, but no breakfast and parking lot, and is better to park in a paid public parking lot which is a little far from the hotel, and if you are packed heavy, forget it, no elevator to arrive in the rooms downstairs.

The money currency in Croatia is Kuna (1€=7,10HRK) and you must have it in hands, because most of the places accept kunas currency only.

3. WHAT TO SEE:

An unmissable tour is to take the CABLE CAR which offers 360 degrees views that will leave you breathless like you have walked 432 meters high Srd Mountain, the ride last 3 minutes and tickets can be bought at the liwer station of the cable car, but they accept only Kunas or credit cards, there are also buggy ride, and a museum telling the story about the 1991 war against the Serbians and Montenegros, the best time to go up is late afternoon to watch the amazing sunset.
Cable cars runs each 10 minutes from 9am to 9pm, this mountain also has paths to go up walking for about 40 minutes; other option is to take one  the several boats tour to visit the many islands; or go to the local Banje Beach with a view over the Old City Walls.

On the second floor, that big, beautiful and inviting LIVRARIA DA FÁBRICA bookstore sells new and second hand books.

6. THE CAFÉ:
Next to the bookstore take a seat in that cosy CAFÉ DA FÁBRICA, to taste a delicious filtered coffee and warm cakes.

7: FOOD STALLS:

No meio deste paraíso surge um aquário em formato de gruta projeto de 1840 do paisagista inglês John Tyndale,  com 12 pequenos aquários incrustados nas paredes com uma variedade de peixes diferentes, e acredite têm até tubarão branco; é também de sua criação um jardim romântico aonde os apaixonados tiram fotos ou pedem as amadas em casamento.

4. O PALACETE:
Foi uma história de amor digna de conto de fadas quando em 1927 o rico empresário Henrique Lage (1881-1941), contratou o arquiteto italiano Mario Vodret para construir o belo palacete cópia de um "palazzo romano" com mármore, pedras e azulejos vindos da Itália, e pinturas decorativas de Salvador Paylos Sabaté  para que a sua amada e claro depois sua esposa a cantora de ópera italiana Gabriella Besanzoni (1888-1962) com certeza não sentisse saudades da sua terra natal, onde ela se adaptou e promoveu festas e saraus tornando o local de efervescência cultural e social.

5. O BISTRÔ:
O charmoso restaurante e bistrô localizado em volta da piscina com uma vista estonteante do Cristo, é espaço muito concorrido para o café da manhã de domingo.

Parque Lage! Uma bela história de amor!

The Lage Park, 414, Jardim Botânico Street, is one of the most beautiful places of Rio de Janeiro, which was a sugar cane mill in the 16th century, a farm of a noble Englishman in the 19th century, and in the 20th century had a palace built as a proof of love. Se estiver na cidade serrana de Nova Friburgo distante 137km do Rio de Janeiro, não deixe de visitar o recém inaugurado castelo gótico medieval, uma construção imensa no alto do Vale dos Pinheiros que abriga o belíssimo Castelo dos Arautos do Evangelho.

1. COMO CHEGAR:
Saindo do Centro de Turismo no centro de Friburgo, pegue a direção para Olaria até as Alamedas Princesa Izabel, Marquês de Barbacena e Regente Feijó chegando no Castelo dos Arautos, na Rua Visconde de Abaeté, 31, Parque São Clemente.

2. ONDE ESTACIONAR:
No estacionamento gratuito dentro do castelo.

3. O CASTELO:
Construído no alto do vale como já é tradição dos outros Castelos dos Arautos, para receber mais luz do sol nos seus 30 cômodos espalhados pelos 3.600 metros quadrados com uma vista magnífica das montanhas, e a parte de madeira é confeccionada na própria marcenaria da sede, as obras ainda inacabadas começaram há 3 anos atrás, com detalhes riquíssimos nos seus vitrais e também nas  paredes e teto onde tudo é pintado a mão.

4. CAPELA:
Numa pequena e singela construção também em estilo gótico anexa a sede, a capela abriga a imagem da NOSSA SENHORA DE FÁTIMA DOS ARAUTOS DO EVANGELHO, e foi inaugurada em 13 de outubro de 2018 quando completou o Centenário da última aparição de Fátima.

5. QUANDO VISITAR:
Aberto para visitação  somente aos domingos nas missas de 10h e 16:30h.

Take a note of the following tips to know that place plenty of peace and faith which is already open to the public to its Sunday masses:

1. HOW TO ARRIVE:
Leaving from the Turism Center in Friburgo's downtown take the direction to Olaria neighborhood up to the Alameda Princesa Izabel,  Alameda Marquês de Barbacema and Alameda Regente Feijó to arrive in the castle located on 31, Visconde de Abaeté Street, São Clemente Park.

2. WHERE TO PARK:
On a free parking lot available inside of the castle area.

3. THE CASTLE:
Built on a top of the valley as a tradition for the other Arautos Castle  to get more sun light in its 30 rooms spread on an area of 3.600 square meters with a magnificent view of the mountains, the wood work is made in its own woodwork, the unfinished construction began 3 years ago full of rich details in the stained glasses and also on the walls and ceiling where everything are hand painted.

4.  THE CHAPEL:
In a little delicate construction also in medieval gothic style attached on the church, the chapel houses the  FÅTIMA OUR LADY OF  ARAUTOS DO EVANGELHO inaugurated on October 13th, 2018, when the last Fátima apparition completed a century.

5. WHEN TO VISIT:
Open to visit only on Sundays masses at 10am and 4:30pm .
