São Miguel das Missões, RS! Ruínas cheias de história! (São Miguel das Missões, RS, Brazil! Ruins full of history!).

Para quem gosta de voltar ao tempo e saber um pouco da nossa história não deve deixar de conhecer o SÍTIO DE SÃO MIGUEL ARCANJO em SÃO MIGUEL DAS MISSÕES, Rio Grande do Sul, onde as construções iniciaram em 1687, edificada entre 1735 e 1745, e declarado pela UNESCO como Patrimônio Mundial em 1983. Ainda pouco divulgado para o turismo esta pequena cidade de 8.000 habitantes guarda a mais preservada missão jesuítica com o maior agrupamento indígena no Brasil. Anote estas dicas e vá se deslumbrar com estas  ruínas deste sitio arqueológico integrante do chamado Sete Povos das Missões:

1. COMO CHEGAR:
De avião chegando no Aeroporto Salgado Filho em Porto Alegre, alugue um carro para percorrer a distância de 480km, ou no Aeroporto Regional Sepé Tiaraju de Santo Ângelo distante 67km de São Miguel.

2. ONDE FICAR:
HOTEL TENONDÉ, Rua São Miguel, 664, Centro. Ótimo localização, 10 minutos a pé das ruínas, com belíssima decoração, piscina, restaurante e serviço impecável, com excelente café da manhã e estacionamento incluidos.

3. AS RUÍNAS:
A igreja principal foi construida em 1735, em estilo barroco toda em pedra grês, projetada pelo arquiteto e jesuíta italiano Giovanni Battista  Primolli (1673-1747), com a torre dos sinos é a ruína mais preservada, em frente ficava uma grande praça com as casas espalhadas ao redor, lá também é possivel ver as fundações da escola e do cemitério público, onde durante os séculos XVII e XVIII os indios aderiram as Missões, pois era lá que tinham o aprendizado da técnica de agricultura.

4. ESPETÁCULO DE SOM E LUZ:
Acontece todas as noites contando esta história do início ao final com a  morte do líder dos Guaranis Sepé Tiaraju, nas Missões criadas por padres jesuítas. Com vozes de atores famosos que vai te levar ao passado em 48 minutos de emociinante narrativa em meio as ruinas. Disponivel também em inglês e espanhol. Ingressos R$15,00.

5. MUSEU DAS MISSÕES:
Criado em 1940, guarda uma importante coleção das esculturas sacras dos Sete Povos, a maioria esculpida em madeira policromada. Aberto diariamente das 9h às 12h e 14h às 18h.

If you like to back in time and to know a little bit of the Jesuit Fathers and Guarani Indians history, don't miss to visit the SITE SÃO MIGUEL ARCANJO in SÃO MIGUEL DAS MISSÕES, RS, where the constructions began in 1687 and concluded between 1735 and 1745, and listed by UNESCO as World Heritage in 1983. Still not well known for the tourism this small city of 8.000 inhabitants keep the most preserved Jesuit Mission with the largest Indian group in Brazil. Take a note of these tips and go there to be astonished with those archeological ruins site called Seven People of the Mission:

1. HOW TO ARRIVE:
By plane arriving in the Salgado Filho Airport in the capital Porto Alegre, and rent a car driving 480km, or in the Sepé Tiaraju Regional Airport in Santo Ãngelo distant 67km from São Miguel.

2. WHERE TO STAY:
TENONDÉ HOTEL, 664, São Miguel Street, Downtown. Very well located, 10 minutes walking to the ruins, beautifully decorated, swimming pool and excellent service. A very good breakfast and parking lot imcluded.

3. THE RUINS:
The main church was built in 1735, in a baroque style, a project by Giovani Battista Primolli (1673-1747), an Italian architect and Jesuit father, this is the most preserved ruin, in front of it was a large square with the houses spread around it, there is also possible to see the the  school and the public cemitery foundations, where during the 17th and 18th centuries the Indians accepted the Missions because there they learned the agriculture technique skills.

4. LIGHT AND SOUND SHOW:
Every evening a beautiful show telling the beginning and ending of this history where Sepé Tiaraju the leader of the Guaranis Indians died in the Mission created by the Jesuits priests. The history is telling by the famous Brazilian actors voices lasting 48 minutes in an emocional presentation. Also available in Spanish and English. Tickets R$15,00 Reais.

5. MISSION MUSEUM:
Created in 1940 keeps an important sacred sculptures from the Seven People, most of them made in polycrome wood. Open daily from 9am to noon and 2pm to 6pm.
